Ciao, sono Frank I, il primo sgabello veramente sostenibile. Provengo da ritagli di cuoio, pazientemente cuciti insieme, e da scarti di testa di tronchi di alberi (tagliati per la produzione di tavolato). La mia struttura ossea nasce dai resti della struttura di uno sgabello dell'Ikea ormai rotto. Sono il risultato di un processo di cucitura e assemblaggio simile a quello di Frankenstein. Un processo naturale di ciò che l'uomo ha usato e lasciato dietro di sé.  Anch'io faccio parte di una famiglia.

Italian Leather | Hand Made | Solid Wood of Prunus domestica

This collection is part of an experimental design project to proof test the production of furniture embracing the leftover of production scraps, not only from the process of leather manufacturing, but also from more general processes of wood panel production for furniture design and the daily waste we produce when object that served us well broke or get old and of no more use. Frank I, the first stool designed with such a concept in mind will soon be followed by a family of products.

Why Janus Frank is Soustainable

1 - Made from Leftovers
Nothing should be wasted. Repurposing leftover materials from the production process can enrich the creative process, leading to new ideas and discoveries.

2 - The Past Like the Present
Real products that endure today are often made through creative ways of using available materials. In an age where 3D printing, composite materials, and high-performance metallurgy make almost anything possible, we choose to return to tradition to find new inspiration.

3 - Made by Nature, from Nature
Products that have lived a full life can still be put to good use.
